International Masters Course „Advanced Design of Ships and Offshore Structures“ (EMShip+)

Students who are interested in studying at international level can enroll in the international "Advanced Design of Ships and Offshore Structures" study program (EMShip: 2 years, 4 semesters, 120 credit points), thus obtaining two Master's degrees in parallel (double degree).

Requirements are:

  • a good bachelor degree in marine engineering or comparable
  • very good English knowlege

After the first two semesters at the University of Liège (Belgium), students choose a second university for the following two semesters.

Program partners are:

  • University of Liège, Belgium (1. and 2. Semester)
  • Ecole Centrale de Nantes, France (3. and 4. Semester) or
  • University of Rostock, Germany (3. and 4. Semester) or
  • Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain (3. and 4. Semester)


Furthermore, there are cooperations with many renowned institutions and universities worldwide: if you are interested and after consultation with the supervisor, e.g. the master thesis can be done at a third university.
